Pre-trip and post-trip inspections — what to photograph
Inspections protect both sides. Here's exactly what to shoot, when, and why.
Built forSmartphoneTabletDesktopEvery FairCar feature works identically across devices.
Required photos
Exterior: all four sides plus both 3/4 angles. Get close on any existing scratch or chip.
Interior: both rows of seating, cargo area, and dashboard with odometer + fuel/battery clearly readable.
Wheels: at least one wheel close-up if there is curb rash.
What inspections prevent
Without pre-trip photos, every existing scratch becomes "the guest's fault." Without post-trip photos, every host claim is hard to back up.
FairCar's dispute system pulls inspection photos automatically, so most disagreements settle in minutes when both sets are uploaded.
