How is the guest fee calculated?

10% of the trip subtotal, with a $9.99 per-booking minimum. There is no cap and no hidden markup.

When am I charged for my host subscription?

Only in months where you have a completed booking. The subscription fee is deducted from your first completed booking payout that month — never billed to a card up front.

Question 3

What about insurance?

FairCar does not sell or provide insurance. Guests must rely on their own personal auto insurance where applicable. Hosts are required to maintain commercial car insurance on every listed vehicle.

How do I get paid out?

Hosts connect a Stripe Connect account during onboarding. Payouts are issued after each completed trip.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes — but only if you cancel within 7 days of when you booked AND the trip is still at least 7 days away. If both are true, you get a full refund. If the trip starts within 7 days of when you booked, or more than 7 days have passed since you booked, the trip is non-refundable. Host cancellations always trigger a full refund. What if I have more than 10 vehicles?

Fleet Plan ($149/mo) includes 10 active vehicles. Additional vehicles are billed at $10/mo each, only in months with completed bookings.
