Fuel and EV charging: what you owe at return

The host sets the return requirement for each car. Under Policies & disclosures, the listing will tell you whether to return it at the pickup level or follow another stated requirement. The inspection records the gauge with a photo.

If the listing offers a Prepaid full tank add-on, a return below the requirement costs exactly that add-on's price, and you can add it at checkout or during the trip to skip the check. If there is no add-on, the host can add a charge for the documented cost with a receipt. Either way it appears on your trip page for review before billing.

Short on charge? A public Level 2 top-up may help you meet the listing's requirement. If you return below it and the listing offers a Prepaid EV charge add-on, you are charged exactly that add-on's price.
