Our flat-fee promise — why we don't take a cut
Other platforms take 25–40% of every booking. FairCar charges a flat monthly subscription instead — many times less expensive for active hosts.
What we charge
Individual host plan: a flat monthly subscription, billed only in months with at least one completed booking. There is no percentage commission on top.
Fleet plan: $149/mo includes 10 active vehicles; each additional vehicle is $10/mo. Same rule — only billed in months with completed bookings.
Guests pay a separate 10% service fee with a $9.99 minimum. Guests do not see a hidden markup on the host's nightly rate.
Why this matters for your earnings
On a $1,500/month booking volume, a 25% platform takes $375. FairCar takes the same flat subscription whether you earn $1,500 or $15,000. Once you cover the subscription with your first trip of the month, the rest of your earnings are yours.
We never reach into your trip subtotal. The host nightly rate, mileage overage fees, prepaid charge add-ons, cleaning fees — those belong to you in full.
What we don't do
We do not raise our percentage based on "new host" or "top host" tiers.
We do not penalize you for declining a low-quality booking.
We do not push a separate insurance product whose premium scales with your earnings.
