Listing your first car — step by step
Everything you need to publish a high-converting listing in about 20 minutes.
Before you start
Have your title or registration handy, your driver's license, and proof of active commercial auto insurance for the vehicle. We require commercial insurance on every listed vehicle — personal policies usually exclude rental use.
Take 10 photos in daylight: 6 exterior (front, back, both sides, both 3/4 angles) and 4 interior (dashboard, both rows of seating, cargo). Clean the car first.
The listing wizard
1. Pick your vehicle from the catalog (year/make/model/trim). This auto-fills technical details so you don't have to.
2. Set your nightly base price. Our pricing recommendation panel suggests a fair starting point based on similar cars in your city.
3. Choose pickup locations. You can offer multiple options (your home, an airport meeting spot, a partner garage) and price them differently.
4. Add fees and policies — cleaning fee, additional driver, young driver surcharge, prepaid EV charge, mileage allowance, fuel return policy.
5. Upload photos and write a friendly description. Highlight one or two things that make your car worth choosing: "new tires last month," "AppleCarPlay," "long-bed for moving day."
6. Preview, fix anything called out in the Listing Health badge, and publish.
Photo tips that move the needle
Daylight, not garage lighting. Cars look 30% better outside.
Wipe the dashboard and vacuum the floor before shooting. Crumbs ruin a listing.
Crop wide; let the car fill ~70% of the frame.
Photos are auto-compressed on upload to keep your listing fast on slow networks — there is no need to manually shrink files.
