How reviews and ratings work for guests
Your guest rating opens doors. Here's how it's calculated and how to keep it above 4.8.
Built forSmartphoneTabletDesktopEvery FairCar feature works identically across devices.
The double-blind system
Both you and the host write reviews within 14 days of trip end. Neither side sees the other's review until both are submitted (or the window closes). This prevents retaliation.
Reviews are public on your profile. Hosts see your rating and review count before approving a booking request.
What hosts look for
On-time pickup and return. Clean condition. Following the listing rules. Polite, on-platform communication.
A 4.8+ rating with 5+ trips unlocks Instant Book on most listings. Drop below 4.6 and many hosts will auto-decline you.
